Sun Dog

Not everyday do you see something like this... It's a rainbow (some call it a halo) around the sun... a full circle.  Meteorologists call it a 23.5 Degree Halo or Sun Dog.  They say it happens when light travels through high Cirrus clouds made of ice crystals.  As soon as I saw it I grabbed my camera.  I sent my picture to a local news station, and it made the evening news.  How exciting.
